FOX ATTACKS! Obama part 2: Spreading the Virus has zoomed past 400,000 views and 25,000 petition signatures in less than a week! (I realize that the counter is only at 399,155 as I write this, but with YouTube's slower updating, I'm willing to call it). Thanks so much to all of you who watched the video and helped distribute the FOX anti-virus far and wide. We’ve seen what happens when FOX’s sickness is allowed to spread unchecked — the 2000 election, the Iraq war, the 2004 election, a near war with Iran, etc. — so it is vitally important that you and your loved ones be vaccinated as soon as possible. The FOX virus is especially active during election years and has been known to cause faulty judgment, hallucinations, and severe ass-backwardism.

And in an amazing and unprecedented turn, it seems that even FOX’s Chris Wallace has been inoculated.

Chris Wallace, host of FOX News Sunday, was a guest on FOX & Friends this morning. But instead of previewing his Sunday show, Wallace shocked hosts Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade, and Gretchen Carlson by laying into them over their ridiculous coverage of a statement Barack Obama recently made during an interview where he referred to his grandmother as “a typical white woman” in regards to some of her ingrained racial prejudices.

Hey listen, I love you guys but I want to take you to task if I may, respectfully, for a moment. I have been watching the show since 6:00 this morning when I got up, and it seems to me that two hours of Obama bashing on this typical white person remark is somewhat excessive and frankly I think you’re somewhat distorting what Obama had to say.

A clearly rattled Carlson tried to defend their coverage by saying that she “felt that maybe the attention was being taken away from what people really wanted to hear Barack Obama speak about, which was his association and what he thought about the comments by his minister Jeremiah Wright.” Of course, this is an odd thing to say since Obama clearly addressed this in his speech and went into more detail than anyone had heard him use before. But Wallace, in another shocking turn, ripped into FOX and the rest of the media for not focusing on what voters really want to hear about.

Far be it for me to be a spokesman for the Obama campaign, and I will tell you that they would laugh at that characterization, but you know, the fact is that after giving a speech on race earlier this week, on Tuesday, he gave a major speech on Iraq on Wednesday and a major speech on the economy yesterday. And so, I think they would say that in terms of deflecting attention away from the issues people really want to hear about, maybe it’s the media doing it, not Barack Obama.
While it’s true that Wallace has gone to the Dark Side, he used to be a reputable TV journalist, working for NBC and ABC, working on shows like Meet the Press, NBC Nightly News, Nightline, and Primetime Thursday. My guess is that Wallace saw Obama’s speech for what it was: an historic address on the state of race in America that has not been seen in generations and a bold, brave call for Americans to transcend the racial divisions that have come close to tearing this country apart and now seethe just below the surface. And when Wallace saw how his comrades at FOX were using dishonest journalism to try to make the divide deeper and wider, he had the guts to call them on it.

This is something that needed to be said, and the fact that it was a FOX person who said it is even more noteworthy. I always give credit where its due, and I tip my hat to you, Chris Wallace.
