John Gibson said I was one–that is how it really happened. Listen to his radio show the other day. I almost fell out of my chair laughing. I am on Soros' payroll, apparently, and part of a vast left-wing scheme to destroy McCain (as well as all else that is good and decent, I assume).

That is what my new book, The Real McCain, is about. Murky conspiracies. Not, you know, reporting the facts and stuff.

It all started when I worked for this fine company last year and the beginning of this year. Not to mention the wealthly liberal guy who owns my publishing company. Hell, I might even start a War On Christmas when nobody is looking!!

I used to enjoy going on your show, John. Where does all the hate come from? Why no love? I mean, can't we all just get along?? In fact, in the spirit of kindness, if you get me the address, I'll send you a signed copy of the book which broke that story you were talking about  on your show(you know, where McCain called his wife a very bad word that rhymes with "runt").

Oh and one more thing. If you can find a way to help get me on Soros' payroll, that would sure be swell. I could use the cash…

Great piece by author and Media Matters Fellow Eric Boehlert on the difficulties facing our friends at Fox in the upcoming year. I know, me too–tears:

Bottom line is that Fox News is in for a very rough 2008. And the umbrella reason for that is quite simple: Eight years ago the all-news cable channel went all-in on the presidency of George Bush and became a broadcast partner with the White House. Proof of that was on display Sunday night, January 27, during Fox News' prime-time, "Fighting to the Finish," an "historic documentary" on the final year of Bush's presidency. Filmed in HD and featuring "unprecedented access," according to the Fox News press release, the show was pure propaganda. (I must have missed Fox News' "Fighting to the Finish" special back in 2000, chronicling the conclusion of President Bill Clinton's second term and his "extraordinarily consequential tenure.")

The point is that Fox News years ago made an obvious decision to appeal almost exclusively to Republican viewers. The good news then for Fox News was that it succeeded. The bad news now for Fox News is that it succeeded.

Get out your popcorn and go read the rest. It seems their election coverage has been sucking it up in the ratings, way behind CNN. Getting. Too. Emotional. Must. Stop. Writing.

Sniffle.

I don't know if any of you were watching the Simpsons' great parody of our elections last night. If not, there was a scene where a panel is introduced on a talk show (I think it was that crazy old bat McLaughlin if I remember correctly), and when a print journalist is introduced, Nelson gives a hearty Ha Ha!, and tells the guy print media is dying.

That brings me to the wisdom of adding a man to the opinion page who's been wrong so often that it will be an evolutionary trait for future generations of Kristols. I was going to rip him for the usual inside the Beltway CV such as "we're winning in Iraq" and the "likeability" nonsense, but really, can I tell you anything you don't know already about a guy who used to call Dan Quayle boss?

Well maybe one thing. He thinks the majority of people still agree with him on Iraq. Buddy, take your hands off Haggard's pipe…

Wow, I don't think we all had intended to make today about Fox. But damn, if they don't provide the material.

They've shown their true colors to all Democrats, Ron Paul supporters, Huckabee supporters, etc. Everyone is simply beginning to realize they are corporate whores who support one political party because it forwards their business agenda and the wealth of the owner/executives.

That's why they have no time for anti-war candidates like Ron Paul or religious conservatives who've raised taxes like Huckabee. Everyone's finally catching on. It's going to be an exciting year…

P.S. And to whoever made this video, thanks for the Outfoxed plug!

Not such a tough question. They won't allow him in their next debate, even though in Iowa he trounced the man they lustfully dream of during food comas in the Fox cafeteria: Rudy Giuliani.

In any case, Doublespeak and The Huffington Post's Off The Bus went to ask some questions that are most certainly worth checking out.

Finally, if I were advising Fox–and you know they want my kind of advice–I'm thinking talk show for Paul when this is all over. It's not like Fox has principles anyhow. And he's a free marketeer just like them!

Just add in the usual Fox Porn and put it on the Fox Business Channel, which btw, could use it

I love right-wing propaganda groups. They're just so fun to laugh at. That's why when I saw the headline that Fox was the "most fair and balanced network," I decided, just for the hell of it, to read on.

And oh what I found. It turns out that the "study" was done by the Center For Media and Public Affairs (CMPA) housed at George Mason University. George Mason, for the uninitiated, is one of a few universities whose research organs have been entirely bought off by right-wing "think" tanks. Like with Pepperdine (some guy named Ken Starr, a serial liar and lawbreaking leaker of grand jury testimony, is the Dean of the law school), it is best to ask questions and look into the sponsors of any purportedly academic report.

So says Bill O'Reilly.

No word on whether inappopriate use of a loofah also leads to a penchant for hangin' with Mephastophales…

The very talented Gottalaff (go below my silly bio) put this together for us. It is satire, but the biting kind that like our Fox News Porn video, reminds you what the nasty, dirty boys and girls of Fox are really up to…

Wait, you want more?!? Ok, how about Fox using a Gingrich quote to attack Bill Clinton under the guise of "news?" Just go watch the putrid display.

Is this going to be the beginning of an exodus of respectable reporters from the WSJ, now that a certain guy named Murdoch owns it? A man, um, to put it kindly, not known for a devotion to journalistic propriety…
