This allowed channels like Fox News and Rush Limbaugh to come to existence. Ninety two percent (92%) of radio talk show hosts now are of the right wing persuasion. Public airwaves belong to the public and the fairness doctrine must be restored. Insist that the presidential candidates promise to restore the fairness doctrine and to bust the 5 media monopolies which control our thought process.

The problem is too much greed in this world. The US corporations and rich individuals want to protect their money and their control in the mid-east. That's what the war is about, Iran has nothing to do with the US ...the only reason for the tensions is because the US is trying to control their neighborhood.

Al Qaeda is a extremist sunni movement that started in Saudi Arabia, became big in Pakistan/Afghanistan during the Soviet era, in which the US gov. nurtured and supported this group.
The Al Qaeda hate shia's and regard them as heretics and killing them is okay to them.
What the US gov. has to do is, pull out of Iraq. And engage in HONEST business dealings with the countries and people in the middle east. Instead of killing and weakening people there, in order to take the resources for free and charge the people there for US services and business. It's a crime what is happening.

I just want to say this in response to the last two post. The real power of American people is not just respect and leadership. But it is also freedom and democracy.
Would I be able to come into your country and protest against your government and its leadership (Venezualan President Hugo Chavez)? What other country lets a foreign leader do that?Would I be able to come to your country and be protected by its laws with regards to my human rights? Would I be able to openly practice whatever religion I respectively believe in?
You see America is not an enemy to the world because the world makes up America. America is just a place that the rest of the world can come to and have an opportunity to live to your fullest potential. Why are so many people trying to come here? I have personally been around the world and seen how the rest of the world lives. What we have here cannot be taken for granted.
When 9/11 happened you saw the real power of America and that is unity when our way of life is threatened. America is not a bully as the rest of the world may want to think. We are protecting our way of life that we cheerish more than anything else. Which is a free and open society, so when the twin towers went down the gloves came off.
History will show you the real power of America when that way of life has been threatened, look at Pearl Harbor. So don't be mistaken at all, the world has yet to see the full power of America today. And we will all stand and fight to protect that way of life we all cheerish.
Enemies we have in Europe? Most of the original immigrants to this country came from there. The Chinese Dragon spitting out feathers? You should beware China is a communist country where you have no freedom of religious practice or many other rights. This is not a perfect country but show me a perfect man.
Americans don't get too comfortable and drop your guard. The world is a much smaller place now so the style of protecting the lifestyle you cheerish has changed. Our real power is our unity in preserving and protecting the Constitution that gives you the freedom to openly have this discussion without the fear of persecusion. So lets stop being close minded and get real, the world is much more dangerous. Just like times get more dangerous right here in this country.
